IT’S CHRISTTTTMASSSSSS!

OK, not quite, but it’s getting closer and that means it’s time to start to plan the big day. From the decorations down to the food, Christmas requires a lot of planning to go smoothly, but as the best day of the year, that’s to be expected.

Vegan sage and onion plait (Vegan Christmas series)

Vegan Christmas sage and onion pastry plait

This is part of the Vegan Christmas series.

Ever since I stopped eating meat over 12 years ago, whenever it’s been our Christmas meal, or even just a roast, I’ve always only eaten the veg. I’ve never felt the need to replace the ‘main’ (meat) part of the meal with something else; I’ve always been quite happy piling my plate high with the veggie sides.

Vegan christmas cauliflower cheese

This recipe is part of my Vegan Christmas series.

The Reverence Hotel – Review

The Reverence Hotel Melbourne Vegan

Another week, another review. As I said, I’m currently eating my way round Melbourne so they’ll be plenty more of where this came from.

This time is The Reverence Hotel in Footscray, a little pub that is super-casual but does great food. You pay at the bar too, so there’s no issue of trying to call over the server when you want another drink or it’s time for the bill, which personally I really like because there’s no annoying waiting about, and you can take as long or as little as you want. Also if you’re into music, they have regular gigs which is another reason to head down and eat some great vegan food.
